Basketball Recap: Del Sol Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Del Sol duked it out with Bishop Diego on Monday. The Jaguars took a blow against the Cardinals, falling 55-25. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 901st, while the Cardinals are ranked 291st).

Jaymi Coronado was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double with ten points and nine boards for Bishop Diego. Jeisa Coronado was another key player, shooting 50% from the field to rack up 14 points.

Del Sol's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Bishop Diego, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.

Del Sol didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 69-17 defeat against Thacher on the 9th. As for Bishop Diego, they will host Santa Clara at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
