Softball Recap: Harris County Sets Scoring Season-High Against Jonesboro

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Harris County). Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Jonesboro Cardinals a 15-0 shutout on Tuesday. With that win, the Tigers brought their scoring average up to 6.7 runs per game.

Chloe Wolfenbarger was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in October of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI.

In other batting news, Riley Huckaby was a standout: she got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that she has snagged this season. Miller Daniel was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Harris County hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least two batters in four consecutive matches.

Harris County's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Jonesboro, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Harris County will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Cardinals: the pair will be back at it again later today.
