Basketball Recap: Pine-Richland Rams vs. Seneca Valley Raiders
The Pine-Richland Rams's game last Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They walked away with a 54-44 victory over Seneca Valley. For Pine-Richland, this counts as revenge for the 47-41 loss the Raiders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pine-Richland to victory, but perhaps none more so than Madison Zavasky, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 15 rebounds. Zavasky has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last seven times she's played. Maren Iski was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Pine-Richland's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-11. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.3 points per game. As for Seneca Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-6.
Pine-Richland will be playing in front of their home fans against the Trojans at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. North Catholic is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games. Seneca Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
