Softball Recap: Fairland Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three games, Fairland finally came back down to earth on Thursday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Newkirk Tigers.

Fairland's loss dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Newkirk, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 14-3.

Fairland didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-2 victory against Mounds on the 25th. As for Newkirk, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 12-2 defeat against Wyandotte on the 25th.
