Soccer Recap: Columbia Takes a Loss

Columbia lost against Drew Charter back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Eagles lost 10-0 to Drew Charter. While losing is never fun, Columbia can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 443rd, while Drew Charter are ranked 131st).

Columbia's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Drew Charter, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Looking ahead, Columbia will head out to challenge Salem at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Columbia will need to watch out since Salem have now posted at least four goals in their last three matches. As for Drew Charter, they will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against South Atlanta at 7:30 p.m. Drew Charter will be up against South Atlanta's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.69 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
