Baseball Recap: Union County Takes a Loss

Union County blew Sonoraville out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Thursday Sonoraville got their revenge. The Panthers fell just short of the Phoenix by a score of 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Panthers have suffered since April 18, 2025.

Bo Brown made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Maddox Patton was another key player, earning one RBI and two runs.

Union County has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Sonoraville, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

While Union County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
