Salpointe Catholic waltzed into their contest on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 55-25 victory over the Walden Grove Red Wolves. Given the Lancers' advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked first, while the Red Wolves are ranked 84th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sidney Anderson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 9 of 16 on her way to 21 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jayci Nelson, who posted eight points and four steals.

Salpointe Catholic is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.1 points per game. As for Walden Grove, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-9 record this season.
