Soccer Game Preview: Stockbridge vs. Jones County

Stockbridge hasn't had much luck against Jones County recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Stockbridge Tigers will be playing at home against the Jones County Greyhounds at 7:00 p.m. Stockbridge will be strutting in after a win while Jones County will be coming in after a defeat.

Stockbridge will bounce into Thursday's contest after beating Ola, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Stockbridge walked away with a 3-1 victory over Ola on Tuesday. The game was the first time the Tigers have beaten the Mustangs on their pitch since March 24, 2015.

Meanwhile, Jones County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 5-0 to Union Grove. While losing is never fun, the Greyhounds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 331st, while the Wolverines are ranked 34th).

Jones County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Stockbridge, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.
