Softball Recap: Elkhorn Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Elkhorn dropped to 21-14 on Friday, ending the team's five-game streak of wins at home. They lost 8-1 to the Beatrice Orangemen. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Antlers have suffered since September 22nd.

Lina Aden was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

As for Beatrice, the victory was the 21st in a row for them, bringing their record up to 29-4. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games.

On Beatrice's side, Sadie Hereth was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Tana Antons, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

As of now, neither Elkhorn nor Beatrice have any future games scheduled.
