            Softball Recap: West Forsyth Wolverines vs. Etowah Eagles        
        
		
        
        
            If West Forsyth was riding high  fresh off their  7-0 takedown of Northview on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wolverines fell just short of the Etowah Eagles by a score of  4-3 on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolverines of the  10-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in August of 2024.
 Elizabeth Bare put in work while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching seven innings while giving up just two earned  (and two unearned) runs off   five  hits. What's more,  she gave up only two  walks, the fewest she's  had since back in October of 2024. She was also big at the plate,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with one  RBI.
 Bare wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Sara Coleman, who  went 1-for-3 with two  RBI and one  double.

The  loss snapped West Forsyth's winning streak at three games  and leaves them with a 3-5 record. As for Etowah,  the  victory  got them back to even at 2-2.
 Looking ahead, West Forsyth will square off against Lambert at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Etowah, they will face off against Mount Paran Christian at 5:30  p.m.  on Monday.
