Baseball Recap: Mount de Sales Academy Comes Up Short

Mount de Sales Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Piedmont Academy Cougars, falling 11-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 last Wednesday.

Mount de Sales Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryson Harrell, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Mount de Sales Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Piedmont Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-7.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Mount de Sales Academy is set to take on their familiar foe First Presbyterian Day at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Piedmont Academy will challenge rival Stratford Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
