Basketball Recap: Westmoor Comes Up Short

Westmoor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 59-28 defeat at the hands of the Menlo-Atherton Bears. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 468th, while the Bears are ranked 156th).

Westmoor's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Menlo-Atherton, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westmoor has already played their next contest (against Half Moon Bay), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Menlo-Atherton will venture away from home to face off against Carlmont at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
