Baseball Recap: Garrett Takes a Loss

Garrett and DeKalb squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Garrett had to settle for second. They lost 6-0 to the Barons. The shutout was out of character for the Railroaders seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in April.

With the loss, Garrett broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-11. As for DeKalb, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-4.

Garrett does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for DeKalb, they will be playing at home against Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Barons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Saints have averaged an impressive 9 runs per game this season.
