Football Recap: Totino-Grace Skates Past Como Park/Washington Tech with Ease

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Totino-Grace walked away with it. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Como Park/Washington Tech 59-6. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won four matchups by 35 points or more so far this season.

It was another big night for Benjamin Bergan, who rushed for 165 yards and three TDs on only eight carries. Those 165 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Edward Benson made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Totino-Grace was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 351 rushing yards. They are a perfect 5-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Totino-Grace didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Ben Ling and Benson were the leaders of the group effort as each produced two apiece. Benson got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Totino-Grace now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Como Park/Washington Tech, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Totino-Grace wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 35-7 victory against Fridley on the 31st. Como Park/Washington Tech does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
