It was a good run, but Norwalk unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 7-2 to the Wayne Falcons. The Warriors were red-hot at the plate heading into the game (they scored no less than ten runs in the four matches prior), but the Falcons' pitchers proved too tough.

Norwalk's loss dropped their record down to 21-3. As for Wayne, their victory was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-1.

Norwalk didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-1 win against Ottumwa on the 21st. As for Wayne, they have also already played their next game, a 9-2 defeat against Creston on the 21st.
