Basketball Recap: Blacklick Valley Picks Up Tenth Consecutive Victory

Blacklick Valley extended their winning streak to ten games thanks to a huge performance from Kristin Szymusiak. The Blacklick Valley Vikings were the clear victor by a 53-31 margin over the Northern Cambria Colts on Monday thanks in part to Szymusiak, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Her evening made it nine games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Josie Nedrich, who posted seven points along with nine boards and four steals. That's the most rebounds she has posted since back in December of 2024.

Blacklick Valley pushed their record up to 18-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for Northern Cambria, they are on a 19-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-19.

Blacklick Valley won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Shade at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Blacklick Valley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.9 points per game this season.
