Passers beware: Jeremiah Middleton came down with his first-ever interception on Friday and he's no doubt on the hunt for more. He also threw for zero yards , but sadly Mexia still had to take a 42-32 loss at the hands of C.H. Yoe. We hope Middleton's good effort is the first of many we'll see posted here on MaxPreps.com.

Middleton and Mexia will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Groesbeck at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th. Despite Middleton's best efforts to the contrary, the Black Cats will head into their next match having dropped six straight contests dating back to last season. Will the 10th be the turning point?
