Baseball Recap: Washington-Wilkes Comes Up Short

Washington-Wilkes lost against Bowdon back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Tigers lost 22-8 to the Red Devils.

Washington-Wilkes saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Harkins, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Ty Lamar was another, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Washington-Wilkes has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-19 record this season. As for Bowdon, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Washington-Wilkes will head out to square off against Greene County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bowdon, they will venture away from home to face off against Vincent at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
