Basketball Game Preview: Upland Highlanders/Scots vs. Rancho Cucamonga Cougars

Upland and Rancho Cucamonga are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but not for long. The Upland Highlanders/Scots will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Rancho Cucamonga Cougars at 6:30 p.m. Upland is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Last Wednesday, Upland came up short against Chino Hills and fell 42-34.

Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew St. Lucy's out of the water with a 79-19 final score. Rancho Cucamonga has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season. Upland might still be hurting after the 52-31 loss they got from Rancho Cucamonga in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Upland was down 30-10.
