Recap: Brockway Rovers vs. Kane Wolves
The Brockway Rovers had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They walked away with a 49-38 victory over Kane. For Brockway, this counts as revenge for the 41-30 defeat Kane walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.
Leading Brockway to victory were Rheanna Spinda and Sophia Schmader. Spinda scored 16 points along with five steals, while Schmader dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. Schmader has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last eight times she's played. Another player making a difference was Raegan Gelnette, who scored five points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Brockway's win bumped their record up to 8-13. As for Kane, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season.
Brockway will be playing at home against Ridgway at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Ridgway is coming into the matchup with three straight wins on the road, meaning Brockway will have to defend against a team hungry for a win. As for Kane, they will face off against Smethport at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
