Football Recap: Christian Brothers Takes a Loss

Christian Brothers suffered their closest defeat since September 6, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of the Lipscomb Academy Mustangs by a score of 27-24. The Purple Wave have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Nate Brick threw for 95 yards on nine of 16 attempts. Trey Burse was his top target, picking up 54 receiving yards. On the ground, William Mason rushed for 117 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Christian Brothers' loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Lipscomb Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 3-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Christian Brothers will challenge rival Memphis University School at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Lipscomb Academy is set to take on their familiar foe Briarcrest Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
