Basketball Recap: Charleroi Takes a Loss

Charleroi was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 50-27 to the Washington Prexies. The Cougars were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-10.

Kyndra Wynn was a one-woman wrecking crew for Washington as she dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten boards. What's more, Wynn also racked up two assists, the most she's had since back in December of 2023. Xavier King was another key player, putting up ten points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

Charleroi's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Washington, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-3.

Charleroi will be playing in front of their home fans against Frazier at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Washington, they will venture away from home to face off against Brownsville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Brownsville's defense has only allowed 29.2 points per game this season, so Washington's offense will have their work cut out for them.
