Basketball Recap: Shalom Christian Academy Extends Winning Streak to Four

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Shalom Christian Academy). They put the hurt on the Pequea Valley Braves with a sharp 59-34 win on Monday. The victory was just business as usual for the Flames, who after four games remain undefeated this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Shalom Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Addison Adams, who almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine boards. Adams continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Sydney Moore, who went 5-for-11 on her way to 13 points along with six rebounds and three blocks.

Shalom Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Shalom Christian Academy's record now sits at 4-0. As for Pequea Valley, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Shalom Christian Academy will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against York Country Day at 5:45 p.m. on the 19th. As for Pequea Valley, they will venture away from home to square off against Octorara Area at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be Pequea Valley's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
