The Greater Latrobe Wildcats just played last night, but they'll still head out to face Oakland Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on January 18th. Greater Latrobe is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
On Wednesday, Greater Latrobe came up short against Forest Hills and fell 52-45. While losing is never fun, Greater Latrobe can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 178th, while Forest Hills is ranked 40th).
Meanwhile, Oakland Catholic put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against McKeesport by a score of 58-49.
Greater Latrobe's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Oakland Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 15-0.
Greater Latrobe suffered a grim 67-44 defeat to Oakland Catholic in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Greater Latrobe was down 42-14.
