Softball Recap: Pierce County Takes a Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Pierce County couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Appling County Pirates on Thursday. The Bears haven't had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Pierce County's loss dropped their record down to 24-9. As for Appling County, the victory (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 20-4.

As of now, neither Pierce County nor the Pirates have any future games scheduled.
