After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Omaha Central, Burke was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They walked away with a 9-5 win over the Buena Vista Bison. For the Bulldogs, this counts as revenge for the 6-2 victory the Bison walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

The team relied heavily on Harper Munnelly, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Kassidy Nilius was another key player, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with three runs.

Burke's win bumped their record up to 4-11. As for Buena Vista, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

Buena Vista has already played their next contest, a 12-0 loss against Omaha Central on the 20th. Hopefully Burke paid attention to the Bison's game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Bison at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
