Baseball Recap: Cory-Rawson Fighting Hornets vs. Arcadia Redskins

Cory-Rawson had lost 12 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Thursday they dropped down to 5-14 to make it 13. They fell just short of the Arcadia Redskins by a score of 4-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Redskins this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-4 back in April.

As for Arcadia, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-14 record. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since April 15th.

For Arcadia's part, Isaac Stoner made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. Those 14 strikeouts gave Stoner a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.
