Baseball Recap: Heritage Preparatory Comes Up Short

After flying high against Holy Spirit Prep last Friday, Heritage Preparatory came back down to earth. The Heritage Preparatory Rams came up short against The King's Academy Knights on Monday, falling 14-4.

Heritage Preparatory saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Peyton Garner, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Mac Abernathy was another, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Heritage Preparatory's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for The King's Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Heritage Preparatory will square off against St. Mary's Academy at 4:30 p.m. on March 26th. As for The King's Academy, they will face off against Creekside Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The King's Academy will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
