Football Recap: William Englert's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Great Bridge over Oscar Smith + How To Watch

Great Bridge extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 1-8. They lost 61-38 to the Oscar Smith Tigers. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (33), the Wildcats still had to take the loss.

Great Bridge lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was William Englert, who threw for 409 yards and four touchdowns. Logan Dessart was another key player, picking up 161 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

As for Oscar Smith, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 45.1 points over those games.

Lonnie Andrews was a one-man wrecking crew as he threw for 405 yards and five touchdowns while completing 81% of his passes. That's the most passing yards he has posted since back in October of 2024.
