Recap: Franklin Knights vs. Warren Dragons
The Franklin Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. The contest between Franklin and Warren wasn't particularly close, with Franklin falling 40-26. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Franklin has scored all season.
Several Knights players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jamie Blum, who scored seven points along with two steals. Kirsten Hicks was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five rebounds.
Franklin bumped their record down to 6-5 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Warren, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Franklin will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Slippery Rock at 2:15 p.m. on January 13th. Slippery Rock will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 506th, while Franklin is ranked 252nd). As for Warren, they will head out on the road to face off against Oil City at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
