Baseball Recap: Kankakee Valley Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for Kankakee Valley's offense. They lost 16-0 to the Munster Mustangs on Monday. The Kougars have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Kankakee Valley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Will Chestnut, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

Kankakee Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Munster, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 20-6.

While Kankakee Valley had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
