Softball Recap: Jackson Comes Up Short

The Jackson Red Devils didn't have quite enough to beat the Jones County Greyhounds on Friday and fell 9-8. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jackson's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Jones County, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-2.

Coming up, Jackson will head out on the road to square off against Newton at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Red Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rams have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Jones County, they will host Mary Persons at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
