Volleyball Recap: Montgomery Academy Comes Up Short in High-Profile Match with Mcgill-Toolen

Montgomery Academy faced McGill-Toolen in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Eagles took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Yellowjackets. The Eagles were not able to make up for their defeat to the Yellowjackets from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Bennett Britt paced Montgomery Academy's offense, picking up six kills. Britt got some help from Rehmat Sidhu and her 12 assists.

Montgomery Academy's loss dropped their record down to 32-5. As for McGill-Toolen, the win was the 24th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 30-2.

Looking ahead, Montgomery Academy is taking a road trip to challenge Trinity Presbyterian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for McGill-Toolen, they have already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Mobile Christian on the 4th.
