Volleyball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Legacy Academy

Legacy Academy entered their tilt with Oak Grove Classical Academy on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Owls 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Silverbacks also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

While Legacy Academy might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Oak Grove Classical Academy scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-20, 25-19.

Eden Griffis paced Legacy Academy's offense, picking up 11 kills. Griffis really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 18. She also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Jasmine Contreras, each putting up four.

Legacy Academy's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Oak Grove Classical Academy, their loss ended a five-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-5.

Legacy Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Mesilla Valley Christian School on the 3rd. As for Oak Grove Classical Academy, they will venture away from home to face off against Menaul at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
