Football Recap: Sauk Rapids-Rice Takes a Loss

Sauk Rapids-Rice was the 31-17 winner over Alexandria when they last played one another back in September of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Storm were outmatched by the Cardinals and fell 49-14. The Storm were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-0.

Sauk Rapids-Rice's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Alexandria, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Sauk Rapids-Rice is set to take on their familiar foe Sartell-St. Stephen at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Alexandria will face off against rival Bemidji at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
