Softball Recap: Lincoln Northwest Falcons vs. Elkhorn Antlers

Lincoln Northwest had lost six straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 2-22 to make it seven. They lost 14-1 to the Elkhorn Antlers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Falcons of the 8-5 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

As for Elkhorn, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 18-12. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Coming up, Lincoln Northwest is taking a road trip to square off against Buena Vista at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Elkhorn, they will be playing at home against Elkhorn North at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wolves' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Antlers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
