Football Game Preview: Hamburg Hawks vs. Pequea Valley Braves

The Hamburg Hawks will face off against the Pequea Valley Braves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hamburg has given up an average of 31.2 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Hamburg came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 35-10 to Lancaster Catholic.

Despite the loss, Hamburg saw an underclassman step up: freshman Issac McFadden rushed for 55 yards and one score, and also threw for 110 yards on ten of 18 attempts.

Meanwhile, Pequea Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 21-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of Columbia. While the Braves didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Crimson Tide 14-7 in the first quarter.

Pequea Valley's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Hamburg, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 2-4.
