Basketball Game Preview: Muncy Indians vs. Northwest Area Rangers

The Muncy Indians will take on the Northwest Area Rangers at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Muncy's defense has only allowed 23.2 points per game this season, so Northwest Area's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Muncy took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They blew past Williamson 54-18. The Indians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 games by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, Northwest Area rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 51-35 win over the Indians. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rangers.

Northwest Area pushed their record up to 20-4 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.6 points over those games. As for Muncy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.
