Baseball Recap: Gainesville Takes a Loss

Gainesville lost against Buchholz back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Hurricanes lost 11-4 to the Bobcats. The Hurricanes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gainesville saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Dugan, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Gainesville's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Buchholz, their win was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 24-1.

Coming up, Gainesville will challenge Matanzas at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Hurricanes are facing the Pirates at the right time seeing as the Pirates are stuck on a 14-game losing streak. Buchholz does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
