Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mount Vernon). They were the clear victors by a 19-3 margin over the Landmark Christian War Eagles on Tuesday. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the War Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Mount Vernon's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Landmark Christian, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-8-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mount Vernon will head out to square off against Lakeside at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Landmark Christian, they will venture away from home to face off against King's Ridge Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The War Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 12.2 runs per game this season.
