The home team had won the previous five meetings between Mission Valley and Chase County, and Mission Valley kept the tradition alive. The Vikings narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Bulldogs 2-1. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 2-1 victory on Thursday.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Mission Valley got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 16-25, 27-25.

Mission Valley has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-10 record this season. As for Chase County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 19-6.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Mission Valley will square off against rival Lyndon at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Chase County is set to take on their familiar foe Osage City at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
