Basketball Recap: Maggie Scholze Key Part of Team Effort in Panthers Win

Polytechnic won the last time they faced Immaculate Heart and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 55-34 margin over the Pandas. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 21 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Polytechnic to victory, but perhaps none more so than Maggie Scholze, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and ten rebounds. Scholze is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last seven games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Lori Ohanian, who went 6-for-11 on her way to 13 points and eight boards.

Polytechnic's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Immaculate Heart, their record is now 0-2.

Coming up, Polytechnic will be taking part in a tournament against Maranatha at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Immaculate Heart, they will challenge Crossroads at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
