Baseball Recap: Bruce Randolph Takes a Loss

Bruce Randolph extended their losing streak to seven on Tuesday, dropping them down to 4-13. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Denver West Cowboys. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Cowboys this season, with their most recent loss being a 13-10 defeat back in April.

Issac Varela was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last eight games he's played.

As for Denver West, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-10. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games.

On Denver West's side, the team relied heavily on Sebastian Guerrero, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that Guerrero has hit this season.

As of now, neither Bruce Randolph nor Denver West have any future games scheduled.
