Basketball Recap: Lititz Christian Eagles vs. Covenant Christian Academy
The Lititz Christian Eagles were the 30-24 winner over Covenant Christian Academy when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Lititz Christian fell 39-32 to the on Tuesday. Lititz Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Lititz Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Lauren Hurst, who scored five points along with seven steals. Another player making a difference was Najya Vega, who scored eight points along with two blocks.
Lititz Christian has not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Covenant Christian Academy, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-5.
Lititz Christian won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on January 31st. Dayspring Christian Academy will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Covenant Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to take on the Chargers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
