Football Recap: Southeast of Saline Piles Up the Points Against Clay Center

Southeast of Saline barely beat Clay Center the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Trojans blew past the Tigers 46-7 on Friday. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Southeast of Saline had a senior duo take command as Grady Gebhardt gained 230 total yards and five touchdowns and Gannon Jacobson rushed for 56 yards and one score. Gebhardt's longest rush was for an incredible 81 yards.

Southeast of Saline was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 304 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Clay Center only rushed for 186 rushing yards.

Despite the loss, Clay Center still got an impressive performance from Eisaac Girton, who rushed for 100 yards and one TD.

Southeast of Saline's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Clay Center, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Southeast of Saline will face off against Beloit at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Clay Center, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Louisburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
