Claremont is 7-1 against Walnut since December of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Claremont Wolfpack will host the Walnut Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Claremont has three straight victories, Walnut has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Thursday, Claremont needed a bit of extra time to put away Diamond Bar. They came out on top against the Brahmas by a score of 57-47.

Meanwhile, Walnut lost to Glendora on the road by a 62-46 margin on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 378th, while the Tartans are ranked 145th).

Claremont has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.4 points per game. As for Walnut, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10.

Everything came up roses for Claremont against Walnut in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 55-13 win. Does Claremont have another victory up their sleeve, or will Walnut turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
