Baseball Recap: Normal West Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Normal West's offense. They fell just short of the Mt. Zion Braves by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. That's two games in a row now that the Wildcats have lost by just one run.

This is the second loss in a row for Normal West and nudges their season record down to 20-13. Even worse, they were so close both times: the defeats came by an average of only one runs. As for Mt. Zion, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-11 record this season.

Normal West does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mt. Zion, they will square off against East Peoria at 9:00 a.m. on Friday.
