Basketball Game Preview: Duncan Wildkats vs. Ray Bearcats

The Duncan Wildkats will head out on the road to challenge the Ray Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ray took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Duncan, who comes in off a win.

On Wednesday, in a tight contest that could have gone either way, Duncan made off with a 46-45 win over Santa Rita.

Meanwhile, Ray came up short against Fort Thomas on Tuesday and fell 71-60.

Duncan will have to keep a close watch on Seth Wade and Chase Chester, a pair of players who had a big impact on Ray's prior game. Wade shot 6-for-11 from deep and dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds, while Chester went 7 for 10 from beyond the arc on his way to 23 points. That's the most points Wade has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Chris Curiel, who posted seven points.

Ray's loss dropped their record down to 13-13. As for Duncan, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-13 record this season.

Duncan came up short against Ray when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 44-31. Can Duncan avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
