Soccer Recap: McDonough Comes Up Short

After soaring to five goals the game before, McDonough was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Morrow Mustangs. While losing is never fun, McDonough can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while Morrow are ranked 86th).

McDonough's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Morrow, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

McDonough wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 5-0 win against Hampton on the 21st. As for Morrow, they are taking a road trip to face off against Northgate at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
