Soccer Recap: Sioux City West Comes Up Short

While losing is never fun, Sioux City West can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa soccer rankings (they are ranked 141st, while Sioux Center are ranked 18th).

Sioux City West's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Sioux Center, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 9-0-2.

Looking ahead, Sioux City West will venture away from home to face off against Le Mars at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Le Mars will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Sioux City West surely won't give up without a fight. As for Sioux Center, they will host Sheldon at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Sioux Center will be up against Sheldon's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.43 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
